I have traveled around the sun 48 times, almost 49, and only recently realized how often I lived for someone else’s love and light — and rarely for my own. For years, I thought love meant sacrificing myself, losing my voice so others could shine.

I became a teacher for many reasons, one of them being the belief that I could light my students’ candles, even if it meant burning myself down in the process. I used to hold on to the old quote by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk: “A good teacher is like a candle, it consumes itself to light the way for others.”

But here’s what I’ve come to understand: neither of those ideas is true love, true light, or true purpose. We are not meant to extinguish ourselves for others. We are meant to shine with others.

That realization is why I founded AmoraLuma Coaching — because I finally found my own love and light, and now I want to guide others to discover theirs.

Amora means love. Luma comes from illuminate. Together: Love and Light.

My mission and vision are simple and clear: to help others recognize that their love and light are far too brilliant to ever be extinguished — by themselves or by anyone else. My work is about helping people see their inner beauty, strength, confidence, drive, and worth.

I believe every single person on this planet has the capacity to be the love and light this world needs.

So if you’ve ever felt your light dimmed, your love unworthy, or your voice too small — you’ve come to the right place. I would be honored to show you how truly amazing you are, and to remind you that your love and light are not only enough, they are brilliant, and they are meant to shine for the world to see.
